Core Exercise to Strengthen and Improve Posture

The purpose of the core posture exercise is to strengthen those muscles that hold the body in its correct vertical alignment, improving posture, allowing deeper breathing, reducing physical stress, and presenting a confident appearance.

Zoë'’s Arc Relaxation

The purpose of Zoë’s Arc Relaxation is to gradually and comfortably allow the front of the body to lengthen and open up easily over time.  Many people are bent forward, always “moving ahead”.  Others have slumped shoulders.  Still others have their hips pulled back.  These postures can interfere with breathing, digestion, and self–image.

For the Parkinson’s Patient

The purpose of these exercises and tips is to help the person with Parkinson’s disease maintain muscle tone, and thus, muscle function and joint mobility.  Just as running water resists freezing, so do moving muscles and joints resist “freezing”.
